FIN Stack 4.0 - Graphic Builder - Equipment

With FIN 4.0, we have now introduced a brand new Graphic Builder app that is included within FIN Stack. The Graphics Builder app is entirely HTML5 and utilizes context-sensitive wizards to help the user build their graphic quicker than ever before. This week we'll be showing you how to use the Graphics Builder to create a typical equipment graphic in FIN 4.0.

How it works:

Since everything in FIN Stack is context sensitive, the first thing you'll need to do is navigate down to one of the equipment you'll be creating a graphic for. Once the graphic builder is launched, a wizard will appear with pre-filled out data based on the context equipment. From there you can select template for the background, and then chose the points & components to bring in.

After you've completed the wizard a new graphic will be created allowing for you to open and edit the content. Ductwork, Smart Labels and graphical components will automatically appear based on your selections from the wizard. All you have to do is snap the components into the ductwork and then in a single click you can match up all of the labels with their corresponding components. Graphic Builder also offers an amazingly simple "Create Overview Box" magic button which allows you to select from any of the available points and then automatically group them into a nice looking Overview box.

Pay off:

FIN Stack automatically does almost all of the work for you. Below are just a few benefits of creating an equipment graphic using the Graphics Builder:

  • Context Sensitivity: Allows users to set up a majority of their graphic before they even open it up.
  • Themed Design: The Smart labels and overview boxes are all modeled to look great and work with any of the selected FIN Stack themes
  • Overview Boxes: Quick and easy overview boxes that allow you to display your point label and value.
  • Related Bubbles (Points): Clicking on any point brings up related bubbles that allow you to reach multiple point-specific properties.
