Springing Into a New FIN Activated Challenge

Spring has sprung, and our team is ready to get outside and take it all in! With days getting longer and brighter, it's an excellent opportunity to take on new outdoor challenges. The increasing daylight hours can inspire you to push your limits, try new activities, or go outdoors more often. This season is also perfect for personal growth, expanding horizons, and pushing boundaries!

With so much beauty blooming around us, we thought it was a perfect time for a new FIN Activated group challenge dedicated to our employees: to get outside! The challenge is simple: our employees will need to record at least five outdoor activities every week for four weeks between April 1st and April 28th and share photos along the way.  Running, walking, outdoor yoga, golf, tennis, cycling... all outside activities are welcome! For example, Global Marketing Director, Joanna Benbow took the break in the weather to plant some trees with her family.

The benefits of being outside

Spending time outdoors offers an array of benefits that positively impact both physical and mental well-being. Exposure to natural sunlight enhances vitamin D production, strengthening bones and boosting the immune system. Engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, or even a simple walk in the park promotes cardiovascular health, reduces stress levels, and improves mood by releasing endorphins. Being in natural settings also encourages mindfulness and relaxation, providing a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Additionally, outdoor experiences foster a sense of connection with the environment, instilling appreciation for nature and promoting environmental stewardship. Overall, embracing the outdoors facilitates holistic health and a deeper connection with the world around us.
