Intellienergy Tech® becomes OEM partner to leverage FIN Framework

  • Leading Italian building and control specialist, Intellienergy Tech will utilize FIN Framework (FIN) software in their Flower Plus platform for easy integration and management of buildings and plants

  • Intellienergy Tech will also embed solution on their new edge controller line and make it accessible over the internet through Edge2Cloud technology

Intellienergy Tech, with headquarters based in Sesto Fiorentino (Firenze), Italy will be complementing its existing automation portfolio with FIN Framework to remain at the forefront of innovation in the smart building industry. The platform, which will be initially sold as a server version, and in a second step on Intellienergy Tech’s own edge devices, is called Flower Plus. It will focus on HVAC and energy applications and benefits from the IoT centric-design and strong data management functionalities of FIN Framework’s core architecture. On the edge, FIN will integrate, manage, analyze, visualize and control the entire building and IoT data, and provide secure cloud access thanks to the native combination of the local FIN instances with the Edge2Cloud connectivity portal.

The Flower Plus solution is envisioned to integrate seamlessly with the existing installed base of Intellienergy Tech controls products through pre-set templates, custom graphics and logic, enabling easy upgrading of all central plant components in the building. Flower Plus will keep unchanged its distinctive features, such as carrying out massive operations (calendars, set points, environment variables), remote control and reverse engineering.

With the porting of Flower Plus on a range of new edge devices from Intellienergy Tech, alternative ways of deploying the FIN-based solution will be provided over time.

Being a FIN Framework-based solution, Flower Plus will be natively built on tags, supporting the latest Haystack open standard 4. FIN provides an intuitive user-experience, state-of the art dashboards and analytics, simplified workflows and shares data to the cloud or other IT systems.

Domenico Canosa, Sales Director, J2 Innovations: “We are thrilled to welcome Intellienergy Tech into the OEM family of J2 Innovations. Intellienergy Tech has proven to be an innovative player in the building control market in Italy with many thousands of controllers and sites already installed in the country and more FIN-based to come in the future!"

Luca Focardi, Sales Director, Intellienergy Tech. "We’re really excited to start this adventure, taking advantage of J2 Innovations’ FIN Framework, combining their next-generation smart software platform and the next-generation fully programmable edge controller Intellienergy Tech (IEC) which combine "building controller" and "application controller" functions. The new controller concept will also be based on Linux and RTOS (Real Time Operating System).”
