Ysmart to Power New Smart Building Solution with FIN Framework

Ysmart B.V. has announced a strategic partnership with J2 Innovations, selecting FIN Framework as the technological foundation for its Platform Y smart building and energy management solution.

Having become a FIN OEM partner earlier this year, Ysmart has built its Platform Y solution on J2 Innovations' technology. The unified, on-premises platform is designed to transform fragmented building systems into intelligent, connected environments.

Platform Y can bring together independent and siloed systems, energy consumption and other building data sources into one common normalized data layer, which then serves different types of integrated applications. The solution enables building owners and operators to monitor their operations more transparently, control their installations more accurately and take control of their energy usage across HVAC, lighting and climate control systems. It’s a simple way to address critical challenges including rising energy costs, sustainability requirements and grid congestion.

Following an evaluation of available technologies, Ysmart selected FIN Framework for its architecture, back-end and front-end capabilities, and comprehensive connectivity layer. The platform's open, flexible and cybersecurity-focused approach aligns with Ysmart's commitment to delivering solutions free from vendor lock-in.

The partnership enables Ysmart to leverage FIN Framework as the foundation for Platform Y, combining J2 Innovations' technology with Ysmart's own energy management expertise and software add-ons. Customers will benefit from the ability to deliver a unified, on-premises smart building platform that fulfills the promise of intelligent, data-driven buildings.

With buildings typically consuming over 40% of total energy, the Platform Y solution addresses a growing demand for intelligent building management that meets regulatory compliance, decarbonization goals and operational efficiency.
