What's New in FIN 5.1.3-4

FIN5.1.3-4

The FIN 5.1.3-4 release is here! This particular release is considered a 'service pack' release. Service Packages typically contain minor bug fixes and feature enhancements. Great news for users of 5.1+, no migration is required!

Here are some changes you’ll find in the new release. See all of the changes in FIN 5.1.3-4 in our online documentation here.

BACnet

There are a small number of fixes that relate to BACnet. A few of them relate to alarms and schedules. Here are some highlights:

  • The BACnet alarms are now split into an individual alarm card per the three different states. These states are normal, offnormal, and fault. This would allow the user to view and acknowledge each state independently. More here.
  • The alarm count on the Alarm Status indicator and Nav Tree no longer takes inactive BACnet alarms into account.
  • We have improved the alarm resend emails as the state of the alarm transitioned. Before, this was handled in a job, which could only be run on one minute intervals. This caused some BACnet alarms to be missed and not be sent to the recipients.
  • A new Sync Schedule Type button has been added in the points discover window to assign state texts to BACnet schedule objects that don't appear as the correct type when discovering points. More here.

Alarms

We made improvements on how we resend alarm notifications via email. For example, when an alarm goes out of normal state, and then back into alarm state, we previously used a job to resend the alarm emails. This is now handled in the alarm engine automatically, which makes it more reliable than before because it's based on transitions from normal to alarm not based on timed intervals.

Folio

We have made a change to the Folio App tool, called Set Immediate Subscription Off Time. This allows the user to control when not to receive alarms, for example after hours. The new method handles this task in the background instead of using a job, and it adds two new time  type tags on the user called [emailSilenceEndTime] and [emailSilenceStartTime]. More here.

Docs

Additionally, we made updates to related documents. A complete list can be found here.
