The home of smart buildings, smart equipment and IoT
FIN Framework sets the standard as the fastest platform for engineering building automation systems. We’ve optimized workflows to reduce the number of clicks, made database configuration easier, and made the creation of project solutions better. Here's a look at what makes FIN faster.
Thanks to the use of tags and the power of templating, FIN Framework features auto-generated configuration. A unique feature is the ability to bulk import an entire project from a spreadsheet using our template wizard. This expanded templating workflow simplifies device configuration and significantly reduces engineering time. This is a huge time saver for all aspects of a project, including creating points, control logic, graphics, summaries, O&M manuals, and OEM-specific features.
FIN Framework includes powerful template wizard technology that makes integrating controllers faster and easier. This enables the automatic creation of database points, graphics, summaries, control logic, alarms, and beyond. FIN templates enable products that dynamically create their solution with zero engineering - which is a game changer!
Most of the tedious and laborious tasks required to create a cutting-edge user experience have been automated through FIN's application suite and the power of tagging and data modeling. The increased efficiencies FIN has to offer creates more time for higher-level functionality and differentiation - a win-win for everyone!
FIN's Database Builder (DB Builder) is built for speed. The UI visually organizes all aspects of the database and incorporates faster workflows to optimize the database configuration process. The DB Builder incorporates the powerful use of multiple trees to see and manage every aspect of a project database all in one place. In addition to the traditional equipment tree view, our trees also show information organized by application; Graphics, Programs, Connectors, and Schedules. New power tools support the drag-and-drop of records to create Relationships, Clone, use Tag bundles, apply Templates, add Histories, add Alarms, and do Conversions. All of this equals faster navigation and a better overall user experience.
As you know, FIN extensively leverages the power of tags. But did you know that during the integration process of devices, FIN makes it easy to dynamically add tags to points? In the DB Builder, there is a tool called the Batch Record Creator that is used during the process of adding points to a project. Simply put, it automatically matches point names to points in the library and then brings in the Haystack tags appropriate for that point.
Imagine a point library so powerful that when a point such as supply air temperature is discovered, the library brings in configuration data (tags) for that point that make it Haystack compliant, define the units, the displayed precision, and even the configuration for data collection! As more devices are learned, the point library can grow and get better over time.
Faster configuration, better engineering, and easier tagging... there are multiple reasons why FIN Framework delivers a faster experience.
